This policy covers Ride Radar and this website, developed by Matteo Dall’Ombra. It includes Comet’s Orbit features being prepared for release.
Saved data & optional sync
Settings, favourites, trip plans, ride history and Pins, including pin photos, are saved on your device. Optional sync stores saved app information in Apple’s private CloudKit database for your account. Sign in with Apple identifiers support account-linked features. Private saved data is separate from public community submissions.
Comet’s Orbit
Apple processes subscription purchases and billing. Ride Radar verifies Apple-signed app and purchase records to check membership and founders’ complimentary-year eligibility. Our Cloudflare services store an Apple app-acquisition identifier, service ownership links and the original gift start and expiry dates. The gift record is retained after expiry so reinstalling or retrying cannot restart the year. Full signed purchase proofs are not stored in the membership database. Ride Radar does not receive your payment-card details.
Dining & push updates
Restaurant checks send the restaurant, requested date and party size to Ride Radar’s dining services. Optional automatic alerts store your alert settings, an Apple-linked owner identifier and notification-device details for background checks and delivery. Live Activity services store selected favourites, display preferences and Apple push tokens while providing updates. Membership checks control premium service access. Booking takes place with Disney under its policies.
Location, health & photos
With permission, precise location is processed on-device for nearby features, ride detection and Live Crowds eligibility checks. Apple Health steps and walking distance support daily totals, and photo-library access supports visit memories and Pins. Pin-sharing safety checks use Apple’s on-device Sensitive Content Analysis; their verdicts are not saved to iCloud or our servers. Manage these permissions in device Settings.
Community & feedback
Public CloudKit supports community features such as crowd reports and game leaderboards. A crowd report includes the park, crowd level, time, park-local date and a reporter identifier; treat community submissions as public. Optional booking feedback stores the restaurant, dining date, yes/no answer and a random identifier to prevent duplicates. That feedback record does not include your party size or an account link.
Website & providers
Apple provides purchases, sign-in, CloudKit and push delivery; Cloudflare provides app backend services. This website uses Bluehost hosting. Fonts and images are included in the page; there are no analytics or newsletter forms. Hosting requests can involve information such as IP address and browser details. External services apply their own privacy policies.
Storage & retention
Information is used to provide, maintain and protect the relevant features. Device, private cloud and backend records are separate; removing the app does not necessarily remove cloud or service records. Retention depends on the feature and operational need. The founders’ gift ledger preserves the original entitlement dates, and Apple manages purchase history. Reasonable safeguards protect data, but no system can guarantee complete security.
Your choices & contact
Use available in-app controls to manage saved data, cloud account data and alerts. Manage permissions in device Settings and subscriptions in Apple’s subscription settings. Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct or delete personal information. For privacy questions or requests, contact Matteo Dall’Ombra through the App Support link on Ride Radar’s App Store listing. Keep sensitive information out of public community channels.
